THE IMAM HUSSAIN BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN IS A VOLUNTARY PROJECT WHICH AIMS TO ENCOURAGE MORE MUSLIMS TO GIVE BLOOD.

History

The Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign (IHBDC) seeks to actualise the message of Imam Hussain’s (AS) sacrifice, through saving the lives of those in need and uphold the concept of altruistic giving, a value, derived from our beloved Ahlul Bayt (AS).

First launched in January 2006 in Manchester UK, IHBDC is now the largest Muslim Blood Donation Project nationally with a presence in over 20 cities. Through all the hard work of our volunteers has enabled us to be recognised for the efforts across media outlets such as the BBC and receive awards like, the Ibne Sina Health Award. Alhamdulillah.

As we continued to grow there has been equally growing interest in our campaign from around the world be it from Myanmar to Toronto, by the Grace of Allah (SWT). Therefore we embarked on this mission to create a global platform to try and provide a voice to all the blood donation campaigns inspired by Imam Hussain (AS).
